Oh look, there I am!

I told you I was going to try and take more pictures, even though this one is not so flattering.

It was late, Owen was down to just his t-shirt, Emery was in his PJ’s, my hair went up and look is that spit up on my dress!!?? Nice, but i’m pretty sure it was just drool. Yep, I’m going to keep telling myself that.

I realize I suck at blogging, so I’m not going to say. “This year I’m going to blog more! Cause let’s be honest, it might not happen. I’m not going to try and get you up to date on all that’s been going on.

There was Christmas, emery reached some milestone, new years, my brother left to study abroad in Lithuania, a crazy , two ceremony, all day Disneyland wedding. That all of us but Emery were in, Emery turned 5 months, another milestone and so and so on.

So I lied, that’s some what of an update, but I won’t give you details.

But I will tell you what happened today, nothing really.

There was lots of cuddling in bed this morning, as there usually is every morning. It’s a perfectly gloomy day, as it very well should be, it is the middle of winter. But California thinks its summer lately, so the gloom an bit of cold was welcomed.

We cuddled in bed some more to try and get Emery down for a nap, then me and O baked cookies an now it’s time to get dinner going.

Today was lovely, the boys are amazing, life is good.

This was last night.

My little Brother leaves the country tomorrow.

And by little I mean he’s 20 and he’s leaving to study abroad this semester, in Lithuania!

I’m beyond proud of him and completely excited for him.

I love you little brother, now go do great things.

I rarely post pictures of myself because the fact is, I hate taking pictures. I always feel so awkward, I never smile right in pictures, i’m self conscious, the list could go on. I just don’t like taking them. 

But if I never take pictures then I’ll look back one day regretting it and my kids might think, “um, was my Mom ever even around”? Yes, I was there every day, all day I’m just usually the one taking pictures. 

So I’m going to make more of an effort to be in front of the camera and to start with, we took family pictures this weekend. 

These kids are ours, that still amazes me. God has entrusted these wonderful humans to us and I am so thankful for that. Almost daily either me or Ryan will say to each other, “can you believe these kids are ours’, or something along the lines of that.

Gods faithfulness and love never ceases to amazing me and it just becomes so much more evident and real when I sit back and look at what hes done with my little family. Owen’s love of all things music and everything Yo Gabba Gabba, has us breaking out in song quite often. One of those very often being “Lovely love my Family by The roots.

Still don’t think this counts as actual blogging.
But for your viewing pleasure, baby laughs.

I just don’t have the desire to blog so much these days. I keep saying I’m going to do it more regularly and then I just don’t. I may just stop all together, we shall see.

So 3 months happened on the 7th.

I know it’s always said, but time moves too fast.

Just stop already Emery, just stop.

Emery is fussy and wants to nurse.

Emery does not want to nurse, he just wants to suck and getting a flood of milk is not cool Mom!

Give Emery a pacifier, he’s happy.

Sucks for 2 mins, realizes this is not a boob and I don’t like these things. Thought I already made that clear Mom!

Seems like he wants to nurse again.

Nope! Just wants to suck, does not want milk right now, what the heck Mom!

Realize he just wants to sleep, try and get him to stop crying.

And he finds my neck.

Stops crying, falls asleep and now I have a little baby hickey.

Whatever works!

This guy is just being cute, like always.

We had a birthday party for Owen on Saturday, it was Fall/Halloween themed. 

This kid is pretty much potty trained! 

I told him his diapers broke and put him in under wear. The first three days was all accidents and there was lots of laundry. Little by little success, today were going on three days of no accidents! 

Also he can swim now, did I tell you that?  and jumping off a diving board is no big deal
